My freezer is the new home of 75 pounds of locally grown pasture-raised chicken. As I’ve shared, I have a lot of issues when it comes to eating meat, but I don’t feel bad when I buy chicken from J & L Green Farm. Their chickens live a pretty darn good life, and as we drove the 5 or so miles to the farm, we passed fields of frolicking lambs and grazing cattle.
If you live in or near the Shenandoah Valley, you should check out their Facebook page, where they have a link to their bulk ordering form. I should also mention their eggs are great and are well priced! I’m also looking forward to our beef bulk order in May.*** This personal blog is comprised solely of the opinions, views, projects, and travels of its author, Stacey Morgan Smith.
