Happy Easter!
As one of our resident yard bunnies knows, the lilacs are at about 80% bloom, and this is the time of year that Lilac Hill earns her name. The air smells so sweet with the heady scent of blooms it’s hard not to just sit and breathe deeply. 70% of our yard is ringed with lilacs, and even in a few sunny spots in the woods and undergrowth I’ll find a lone stem.
I just spent a good hour cutting stems to take to coworkers and friends and I didn’t make a dent in the number of blossoms. If you live in the Shenandoah Valley and would like to come out and cut some for yourself (or I can meet you in town), let me know! Pruning is good for the bushes, and I’m happy to share their lovely scent far and wide.

Thanks for sharing! I can’t wait to see the farm in person sometime.
You’re welcome any time!
