I’m enjoying homegrown berries for dessert!
The brambles that are growing around the yard have turned out some beautiful black raspberries. If you’re not familiar with black raspberries, the taste is unique, not at all, in my opinion, like the cultivated red raspberries I’ve eaten nor anything like wild blackberries. I’ve never had them “fresh” before today, but I’ve enjoyed the black raspberry jam my mom buys each year.
I’ll pick what I can and leave the rest for the wildlife… though maybe I’ll take some to the family Sunday! – Stacey Morgan Smith*** This personal blog is comprised solely of the opinions, views, projects, and travels of its author, Stacey Morgan Smith.
