If you are driving anywhere in Virginia this week, you are gifted with one of the most beautiful sites — the all-too-brief blooming of the Eastern Redbud trees. The Shenandoah Valley is especially beautiful right now!
Depending on where the trees are in their bloom cycle, they may appear dark magenta, dark purple, or light purple. I have especially noticed masses of them blooming on I-95 and I-66.
Where have you seen redbuds blooming?
