Here we go! We are long overdue, but we’re going to do it — we’re going to get the garden in shape!
The below picture is actually from last year. It’s been really rainy of late, and we haven’t been able to get any good pictures. The garden actually looks worse now — it is full of milkweed, goldenrod, and Queen Anne’s lace. The side on the right of the picture is about 75 feet long. The side farthest away is about 50 feet long. The third side is really an arc. This makes the bed a diamond shape, which isn’t going to work with my grand scheme.
So I’m using Mother Earth News’ garden planner, I’m rereading my Square Foot Garden books, and I’m looking at my seed packets. We’re going to build raised beds, reuse some of the materials already in the bed, and hopefully have a great gardening year!*** This personal blog is comprised solely of the opinions, views, projects, and travels of its author, Stacey Morgan Smith.
