More Garden Planning

I’m looking for a garden planner or landscape architect in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Please let me know if you know someone who can help!
We (perhaps foolishly) did not get a survey from the seller of our new home. Our neighbors are great, so I’m not worried about property lines…besides the lines are in the forest (the only spots I’m actually not gardening)…but it would have helped with the planning!
So here’s how this amateur is doing it. We’ll see how it works.
  • I’ve used Google Earth to print the most zoomed in satellite image I can.
  • I used a green highlighter to color in the areas that are definitely garden beds.
  • I’m going to take approximate measurements of each bed and graph it out.
  • I’ll add more detail as the gardens grow.
I’m open to suggestions! I have to accept that I may not be able to have scaled drawings of every plant and garden, but this first year is all about discovery — learning how to manage the flowers, learning how to keep track of where everything is, and learning how to plan for the future.
I’d love recommendations. Comment or email me with yours!
