Spring Color in the Valley

A midday walk around the property on a rainy revealed our first color — purple crocuses.  They were a nice surprise on such a dreary day. We haven’t cleaned out this particular bed, so who knows how many other bulbs are under there?

Thousands of daffodils are coming up now around the yard. Every single bed has bunches of them, and there are rows of them lining the driveway and the right edge of the property. I think the rows are newer than the clumps. They haven’t spread the way the clumps have. In another week or so we should have some yellow sunshine growing in the flower beds.

One bulb (?) has me stumped. I feel like I’ve seen this before, but for the life of me I can’t think of the name. Any suggestions?
